During our camping trip, we decided to go into town and get some grub, and myself a drink.
We spotted this quaint little place right on the water.
It was real hot and the waitress was sitting outside in the shade. She was not doing real well with the heat, and her job performance suffered. I am sure she is a good waitress when its not 100 degrees!
I ordered the fish and chips and it was superb! Fresh cut cod and a very light crispy coating. The tartar sauce was average. I still cant get over how good that fish was. Most places server frozen cod or pollock and the quality is usually suspect. I was very impressed, it was the best fish and chips I have had in a long time.
Kelsey had clam chowder and shared on my fries. Jessica had shrimp and chips. I tried hers and it was good. Not as good as the fish, but decent. Both kids enjoyed their meals.
I will not pass through hoodsport withoput a stop in this place. It appears to be a good watering hole as well.

Pub implies beer/wine only. True? A decent selection of draft beer? What would've made the tartar sauce better? Any other options nearby to eat at or is this the only place in town?
Sounds like the Cod was fresh and perhaps never-frozen. That does sound pretty darn tasty.
pub is a bad name as I quickly ordered a bloody mary..
there are several other restaurants in Hoodsport. This one just looked right. Not to fancy, a regular Joe kinda place..
I believe Ron who owns Troller, Main street, has a place there too, but I didnt see it.
